    • •A: Players can purchase a new Gear at any point during an expedition as long as they have the required amount of Shine Fragments. Purchasing a new Gear will immediately replace their current Gear, and players do not need to extract to keep it. Changing Gears will reset the player’s Gear points, but they will be refunded half of them.
    • •A: Players can unlock a Cursed Technique after reaching level 25 and being automatically promoted to Grade 4. During expeditions, players will come across Technique Shards. Collecting three shards for the same technique will allow them to consume the shards to form a crystal, which can then be used to obtain the technique.

    • •Cursed Tools are the Heavenly Restriction equivalent of Cursed Techniques. They are weapons or tools rather than inherent abilities, although they are obtained the same way and follow the same rules for gameplay purposes.

    • •Extracting is the only way to keep anything collected during an expedition: unstored time, Cybernetics, and Technique Shards alike. Dying before this point will result in the loss of all collected loot. A successful extraction will send the player back to their base, where they can prepare for their next expedition.

    • •This mission tasks the player with locating several hidden caches around the area. These can contain Data Orbs or Technique Shards, and finding all of them rewards the player with some time and Shine Fragments.
